Unfortunately I was not able to find much information in my own language on this subject, but fortunately came across your blog and found this post about the Viking and Slavic Cuisine.

Would you know by any chance about some other sources regarding original Slavic Cuisine?moonpixelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04538416527684502693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2032365360611242433.post-60997036730590085932012-05-17T13:21:14.256-04:002012-05-17T13:21:14.256-04:00Thank you for the compliment.

Possibly that's because most of my ancestors come from Eastern Europe; who knows?

Interestingly, after I wrote my post, I found a chicken-in-clay recipe on saveur.com. So I guess cooking a bird covered in clay isn't just for reenactors anymore!Cathy Raymondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04580681386443534011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2032365360611242433.post-87091105971227950152012-05-17T12:58:43.566-04:002012-05-17T12:58:43.566-04:00Very interesting! I also use a lot of sour tastes, grains other than wheat, and cabbage & horseradish in a lot of my recreations.

I haven't had a chance to try the fowl in clay, but I've been dying to for ages...Viking Food Guyhttp://www.vikingfoodguy.comnoreply@blogger.com
